This page explains how to request deletion of your TMS Forge account and the data associated with it. It applies to the TMS Forge mobile app (io.truckd.trucking) and to the TMS Forge web platform, both operated by Truckd Inc.
How to request deletion
Email support@tmsforge.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request", and include:
- the phone number you use to sign in to the TMS Forge app;
- your full name and the company whose TMS Forge account you belong to;
- whether you want your user account deleted, or the entire company account deleted (see below).
We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it. We confirm by email once the deletion is complete, normally within 30 days of a verified request.
Who can delete what
TMS Forge is business software used by trucking companies. Your user account belongs to you, but the operational records you create belong to the company that employs or contracts you.
- Drivers and staff can request deletion of their own user account. This removes your ability to sign in and deletes your personal profile.
- Company owners and administrators can request deletion of the entire company account, including all of that company's operational records.
What is deleted
When we delete a user account, we delete:
- your name, phone number, and email address;
- your user profile, login credentials, and session data;
- your driver's licence and identity document images, and the data extracted from them;
- your device identifiers, push notification tokens, and location history;
- your in-app messages, where they are not part of a record the company must retain.
When we delete a company account, we additionally delete that company's loads, trips, invoices, documents, and all remaining user accounts under it.
What is retained, and for how long
Some records cannot be deleted on an individual user's request, because the company you work for is the owner of that data and is legally required to keep it:
- Operational and compliance records — loads, trips, hours-of-service records, proof of delivery, and inspection records are retained in the company's account. Where a driver is named on such a record, the record is retained by the company; the personal profile behind it is deleted.
- Financial and tax records — invoices, settlements, and payment records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and transport regulations, typically up to 7 years.
- Backups — deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before those backups expire and the data is permanently removed.
- Legal holds — data subject to an ongoing legal claim, audit, or regulatory investigation is retained until that matter is resolved.
Retained records are kept only for these purposes and are not used to re-create your account or to contact you.
Deleting some of your data without closing your account
If you want specific data removed but want to keep your account, email support@tmsforge.ai describing what you want deleted. We honour these requests subject to the same retention rules above.
